What is Spirit Guided Journeys

Hi. My name is Kelley and I am the person behind Spirit Guided Journeys. My mission and the mission of the journeys I want to facilitate is three-fold. First, I want to share my love of travel with others. Second, I hope to continue my spiritual quest with a community of like-minded travelers. Third, I plan to engage spiritual leaders and teachers from our travel destination to guide the group in our experiences. With those goals in mind, I am busy planning the second journey leaving for southern India in October, 2015.

I really enjoyed driving around in the traffic and through the villages. There was so much to see everywhere, from cows and goats, to the vibrant colors of the women in their saris...the motorcycles, bikes, buses and trucks... the man selling coconuts on the side of the highway and the giant statues of the gods in the middle of a tiny village...

This trip will take our group first to Bangalore, now Bengaluru, India in Karnataka state. We will time in this area participating in yoga, meditation and workshops led by teachers from different schools of spiritual thought. We will have the opportunity for day-trips to nearby locations for further contemplation, some time for shopping at the local areas of commerce, and a chance to experience the hospitality of a local family and share traditional Indian cuisine at their home.

Midway through our trip we will leave Bengaluru for Mysore and a visit to my yoga master,Masterji Mysore Viswanatha. We will have the opportunity to practice Astanga yoga with Masterji and see the sights of beautiful Mysore, including the Mysore Palace, and Chamundi Hills. From Mysore we will continue on the Tranquil Resort nestled in the Wayanad rainforest for a home stay experience on a 400 acre coffee and spice plantation.

We will end our trip back in Bengaluru, where we will fly out on November 14 heading back home.

Please take a look at the proposed itinerary page for more ideas of what is in store for this journey. And do contact me with any questions you might have using the contact page or by sending an e-mail to spiritguidedjourneys@gmail.com.

More information will be posted here and on the itinerary page as details are finalized. I hope you will consider joining our Spiritual Journey to India. I can promise it will be an adventure.

Namaste
